Welcome to Interact!

We are a Rotary sponsored service club, and are committed to making a difference not only in our community, but internationally as well.

Our club meets once a month to discuss future plans, past events, and goals, and we encourage everyone to attend events to earn points. We try to have at least 5 events per month. Every event varies on the number of points you can earn, and range from the different areas of focus. These include Community Service, Fundraising, International, Membership, Mentoring, Engagement, and Public Relations. Each of these categories are led by a Director that oversees the department, but we also have Project Leads that are in charge of specific events. Our leadership team includes these directors, our advisors, and four Officers; President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

In Community Service, one of our events is reading with Countryside. We get to help elementary students at Countryside Academy with their assignments; whether it be reading books, writing, or filling out worksheets.

Our Fundraising and International committees work together year round with our main focus being the trip to the Dominican Republic in the summer to help build houses, distribute supplies, provide medical assistance, and more.

We work hard to come up with new ideas for the club and are constantly working together to make them happen. Please join us in making a difference, and the fun we have as a club. Everyone and their ideas are welcome, so please consider joining!

History of Interact Club.

Interact Club of Saint Joseph High School was founded in 2012. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Saint Joseph-Benton Harbor, Interact works with the students and local corporations to help those in need living in the community.

In the past eight years, the club has been able to reach their efforts globally, and now raises money to send students down to the Dominican Republic to help build houses and schools in an impoverished community. Interact has turned the act of volunteering into a culture of kindness and generosity towards their members and those in need both in their town, and around the world.
